Els fourth in Rossi Classic
Local fitness beauty, Tessa Els, recently came fourth in the country's biggest and most glamorous fitness, bikini model pageant and bodybuilding spectacular, the Rossi Classic.
The event was part of the B-Fit and Fab Expo at the Heartfelt Arena in Centurion from September 19 to 22.
The competition boasted 31 categories and Els came fourth in the figure under 1,65 metre category. “I am currently training for the Nabba South Africa in two weeks’ time. I did the Rossi for the fun of it,” Els said.
Nabba is the first and the original competitive bodybuilding association and was founded in 1950. Nabba’s first Mr Universe contest was won by Steve Reeves, who went on to make over 30 Hercules movies. Top bodybuilders who won the Mr Universe title include Reg Park, Bill Pearl and Arnold Schwarzenegger (four-time winner).
