Teacher excels in cross country

Barbertonian Belinda Breet, was one of the Mpumalanga women’s team which took part in the SA Cross Country Championships at Pacaltsdorp near George a fortnight ago.

This teacher of Gateway Christian School was in the team in the age category 35 to 39. The competition was tough as 4 000 athletes from around South-Africa participated, however, the Mpumalanga women in that category, came third overall.

“Receiving an individual medal was originally my goal, however, sharing the joy and the podium with three team members was a much greater blessing than standing there alone – and thank God for being with our team every step of the way,” said Breet.

She also thanked her sponsor, Babata Pumps (business directory) and everyone else for believing in her and making it possible for her to attend and take part.
