It’s do or die for Black Aces
Black Aces are on a four-game unbeaten run and have not conceded a goal in any of these matches. They now look to be the favourites having had the upper hand over their opponents during the recent PSL encounter.

The Telkom Knockout’s last-16 tournament kicks off this week with a number of crunch matches where the line between success and failure will be needle thin. One moment of brilliance or one desperately unlucky mistake could either mean progression to the quarter finals or a long trip back to next year’s drawing board.
Mpumalanga Black Aces and Ajax Cape Town will face each other in the last-16 round at the Cape Town Stadium on Sunday October 5, with destiny in their own hands. This will also be the second time this week that Amazayoni and the Urban Warriors will face each other, after their PSL fixture at the Mbombela Stadium this past Saturday.
Aces won that match 1-0 and will be looking to inflict further misery on the men from the Cape.
Roger de Sá’s Ajax team will also look to turn the tables on Aces now that they are back in their home territory.

Dennis Masina scored Aces’ only goal in their victory and will once again look to cause headaches for Ajax’ defence. The likes of Abia Nale and Collins Mbesuma will also complement the attacking power that Aces possess for this encounter.
Last year both teams crashed out at this stage of the competition. Ajax lost 2-1 to Supersport United while Aces went down 3-1 to eventual finalists Orlando Pirates.
This will be the first official cup meeting between these two sides with each team looking eager to take the lead in this rivalry. The match starts at 15:00.
