Swimmers make a splash at interhouse

On Thursday October 9 Curro Nelspruit held its annual interhouse swimming gala.

The foundation phase kicked off the proceedings with some fun events for a number of non-swimmers.

These included a doggie paddle race and a noodle race. Participants were assisted across the length of the pool by grade seven swimmers. Then the serious racing started for the foundation phase and primary school.

This gala was hotly contested by the three houses – Acacia, Kiepersol and Marula. At the end of the day there could only be one winner. This year Marula was victorious by nearly 800 points.

At 14:00 the high school kicked off its interhouse gala.

After some good racing and cheering from the three houses, Marula outcheered the others to win the spirit trophy.
Acacia house won the high school gala.

Curro Nelspruit is looking forward to the coming season and in particular the top-schools gala at the end of this month.
