Course challenges athletes

Uplands, Penryn, St Peters and Riverview Prep School participated. Curro put together a decent cross-country track – which included a loop – at the Rest Eco Estate. The u/7 girls got the day started with one lap of 1,15 kilometres and the older age groups had to do two laps. The first 120 metres of the course was flat, followed by a steep uphill challenge. On the last part to the finish line participants enjoyed a downhill breeze.

“As hosts we would like to thank all visiting schools and officials for their attendance. We at Curro are looking forward to the Independent Schools Cross-country Championship on November 10 at Riverview Prep in Malalane. Our athletes are hard at work to prepare for this event,” said Ryan McCarthy of Curro.
