Past and present meet on tees
The Uplands Past Pupils' Association (Uppa) recently held its second successful annual golf day at White River Country Club.
The gholf course was filled with former and current pupils, friends and family associated with the school. The club house was well supported after the game, and with many exciting items up for auction, Uppa was able to raise much-needed funds for future school-development projects.
Uppa was formed to promote good fellowship among former pupils of Uplands School, and to promote and maintain close relationships between its members, past and present teachers and parents of the current pupils.
In addition, the association raises funds for bursaries and provides strategic input into school affairs on an ongoing basis. Most importantly, it acts as a custodian of the ethos of the school.
