Gymnast owns balance beam at nationals
Seany Dorfling, a member of the Hazyview Gymnastics Club, achieved a second place on the balance beam in the recent SA Gymnastics Games.
She competed in Level 5 artistic gymnastics and also came third overall in her age group. This competition saw gymnasts from around the country competing in a variety of gymnastic disciplines such as trampoline, acrobatics, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics at the Velodrome in Bellville, Western Cape.
Five other club members, Zoe Vos, Tamryn de Lange, Zandri de Toit, Felicity Schultz and Danielle Bosch, also represented Mpumalanga and gave stellar performances.
“The competition was tough but it was a great experience for the six girls to compete against the best in the country,” says Coach Amanda de Lange. Seany Dorfling is seen here performing on the balance beam.
