Teams go all out for honours

This past Saturday the SAB League games continued at various open stadiums in the subregion.

Block A Naughty Boys were dominant when they hosted Black Movers at the Block A open field. Movers suffered a 2-0 defeat at the feet of their hosts, who exploited their home-ground advantage.

Magogeni Liverpool were also on a winning streak when they hosted and defeated Blue Birds. After a thrilling 90 minutes Magogeni secured a 2-0 victory on their home ground.

Real Aces were also in action on the day, playing host to Kamhlushwa City Stars, and enjoyed a good spell of possession. Aces joined the winning wagon, registering a 3-0 victory over their opponents.

The 2014 Tsamaya Cup champions, Schoemansadal Junior Aces, played to a disappointing goalless draw against Block B side Sambo Block B. None of the sides were able to take advantage of the many chances they both created when they clashed at the Schoemansdal open stadium.

Steenbok side, Junior Bucs, were able to find that all-important goal when they met Mananga Royal City. Bucs grabbed the victory with a 1-0 scoreline.

The 2013 Selati Cup champions, and current Champ of Champions title holders, Mlambo Royal Cubs, were not left out of action. Royal Cubs played hosts to Buffelspruit All Blacks, to whom they showed no hospitality when they trashed them 2-0 on their home ground at the Mbuzini open field.

The encounter between Magogeni Classic and Love&Peace produced the most-impressive results of the day, despite being played under protest.

Magogeni were given a run for their money when they had to find the back of the net five times, to defeat Love&Peace 5-3 in normal regulation time.
