Aces looking for confidence boosting win tonight

Mpumalanga Black Aces will be desperate to get a giant monkey off their backs when they host Bloemfontein Celtic in an Absa Premiership encounter at Mbombela Stadium tonight.
Amazayoni have never beaten Celtic, which have bagged five wins, while the other three encounters between the two ended in draws.
This was exactly the case when they last met at the Free State Stadium in the opening clash of the Premier Soccer League season. The match ended 1-1 with Aces Tendai Ndoro scoring for the away team.
Ndoro is once again in great goalscoring form having hit three scores in four matches for Amazayoni.
He netted a brace against Free State Stars at Mbombela Stadium this past weekend and will look to do so again. Celtic’s greatest attacking threat going into the match will be striker Lerato Lamola and the always dangerous and ever-present Joel Mogorosi.
Aces defensive duo, Edwin Gyimah and Doctor Mamapuru, will look to stop any form of attack from the Punye Sele Sele.
One of the biggest problems that Aces have had of late is their ability to let in soft goals, which has kept them on the back foot. Coach, Clive Barker will hope for the same rock-solid defensive display that they showed earlier in the season when Aces went on a six-match unbeaten run.
Celtic’s greatest issue has been their lack of stability in the coaching department with Ernst Middendorp being sacked last week. Clinton Larsen has been giving the green light to fill his place for the match against Aces.
