Grading in Israeli self-defence a first for martial artists
The Wolves Martial Arts Academy held the first-ever grading in the Krav Maga Israeli practical self-defence in the Lowveld.

Krav Maga is a self-defence system developed for the Israel Defence Force that consists of a wide combination of stand-up techniques as well as grappling and weapon defences such as knives and firearms. Krav Maga is known for its focus on real-world situations and extremely efficient and brutal counter-attacks, along with realistic fight training.
The following practitioners passed the test for Level 1 B1, which is white and yellow in belt colour:
• Vandy Louw, Christopher Wilken, Miquettte Rosslee, Rene Coetzee, Cecilia Bezuidenhout, Samantha Schnetler, Wilhelmus Jansen, Bella Busschau and Sonia Belo.
Class times
• Mondays and Wednesdays: 08:00 to 09:30
• Tuesdays and Thursdays: 18:30 to 20:00
• Fridays: 15:30 to 17:00.
