Juniors to enjoy new scenic route
This year the annual PennyPinchers Junior Road Cycle Tour will take place in and around Mbombela.

The tour consists of a four-day, five-stage race through our picturesque scenery.
It caters for three age categories, namely u/16 boys, junior men and u/23 men.
The first stage commences on Saturday March 28, in which the riders will race through the Schoemanskloof mountains.
It will then continue on Sunday March 29, with the second stage beginning at Mbombela Stadium whereafter participants will cycle to Kaapmuiden and finish back at the stadium.
On Monday March 30, stage three will consist of two substages comprising of a route around Mbombela Stadium, followed by a time trial.
The final one will be on Tuesday March 31, starting in Sabie. It will see the u/16 tour riders’ race through the Lydenburg Mountains, ending at Mbombela Stadium. The u/23 men’s and junior men’s race will begin in White River, taking the racers through to Sabie and then returning to the Mbombela Stadium.
Take note – the following roads will be closed during the race:
• Saturday March 28 – Montrose to Crossing and Lydenburg to Bambi from 06:00 to 12:00.
