Lowvelder sets pace in Mpumalanga Cycle Tour

Day three of the six-day cycle tour took riders on a 132 kilometre ride from Mbombela Stadium over Barberton yesterday.

The Lowveld’s own Nico Bell won the third stage of  the Mpumalanga Cycle Tour yesterday to earn the yellow jersey with a lead of just over four minutes.

The six-day event will see cyclists complete a total of 752 kilometres and climb a staggering 11 514 metres.

It kicked off at Loskom Dam, a Forever Resort, on Monday morning.

Today the riders were set to cycle 109 kilometres from the White River Forever Hotel to Mount Sheba.

The tour will finish at White River Forever Hotel on Saturday.
