Local oldies prove their mettle on the field
The Oldies from Lydenburg proved to the crowd that they were not pushovers, as they managed to restrict the local lads from handing them an embarrassing score line. They defended well getting applause from the rugby fans.
Ohrigstad Rugby Club’s oldies defeated the Gryskatte, (Lowveld oldies) 14-0 on Saturday to send the local crowd into rapture. The one-sided friendly encounter was played at the local primary school and the home team dominated the match from start to finish. The local rugby club was playing their friendly matches in preparation for the new season of rugby league games.

The local team will travel to Hazyview next for other friendly games as they prepare for the new season. The management of the winning team pleaded with sport fans to support them during their games.
