Wolves rip Free State competition to shreds

Local students from Wolves Martial Arts, fine-tuned their axe kicks and hammer fists and returned with 51 medals.

They went into the showpiece in a confident mood having recently tasted success at the South African Kickboxing Championships.

Among the stars of the show was Marco Bello, who obtained four gold, two silver and one bronze.

Brandon Britz also did well, taking home six medals, one gold, four silver and one bronze. His teammates, Mea Vermeulen and Luke de Bruin also did exceptionally well, with five medals each.

The results were as follows:
