CrossFit queen visits the local gymnasts

Recently, Nicola Temperman, and her friend, Karlien Lombard, a former level-nine gymnast at the University of Pretoria, visited the Nelspruit Gymnastics Academy (NGA).

Temperman, a Nelspruit CrossFit athlete and matriculant of Hoërskool Nelspruit, exceeded her own expectations when she achieved a spectacular first place for the country during the recent CrossFit Open in the category for teenage girls aged 16 to 17.

Her visit inspired the group of level four to seven women’s artistic gymnasts who are preparing for their competition season.

Two weeks ago the level-seven gymnasts Amani Omar, Ashley Kellar and Kayleigh Gibb competed at the 2016 Artistic High Performance National Championships that took place at the KwaZulu-Natal Artistic Academy in Pinetown. They did exceptionally well.
