Warrior, are you ready?

Training is in full swing for the Jeep Warrior Race at Kwanyoni Lodge on September 24 and 25, with Core360 just one of the gyms holding sessions at its new facility every Saturday morning until the big day.

It will be the first time that Mpumalanga has hosted the popular event, which boasts eight legs held throughout the year at different venues across the country.

Core360 is a specialised personal training and small-group training gym.

“We are unique in that we offer a personal training environment so that you get the best possible service from your trainer and the facility as a whole,” owner Chaz Taylor said.

“You will be sure to see Core360 at the Warrior 6 this year. It is a fantastic test of all-round fitness and strength. It’s an event that accommodates and challenges the individual.”

He added that the outdoor scenery also gives the race a whole different feel.

Here, Warrior Ric invites you to the Warrior Race:

The Warrior Race burst onto the scene in 2013 and has been at the forefront of obstacle racing in South Africa ever since. Anyone can participate; “all you needs is a pair of old running shoes and a great sense of adventure,” the website said.

“You will get wet and dirty, you will be laughing and crying, but all in all, you will have a blast.”

Eric Strydom, organiser of the Mpumalanga leg, said this is going to be the most exciting race of the year by far.

“People shouldn’t think they have to be really fit to enter. It’s all about team building and having fun, except if you enter the black-ops race of course,” Strydom said.

One can enter into different race categories for the Saturday or Sunday. They are bratz (for the kids), rookie, commando and black ops. Each race increases in distance, number of obstacles and difficulty.

For more information about the Warrior Race, visit warrior.co.za, click on Warrior 6 and enter for the Saturday or the Sunday. Alternatively, you can give Eric Strydom a call on 072-568-4162.
