Get moving with the Boulders Race
This is the 10th year that the 25-kilometre race will take place.

Onderberg Marathon Club, the United Church Christ the King and its primary sponsors consisting of Laeveld Trekkers, Malelane Toyota and RCL Foods Sugar and Milling are proud to present, for the 10th year, the Boulders 25-kilometre Race.
In its original form as a 32-kilometre race was last run and presented in 1994 by the former SAP Running Club and was one of the favourites in the Lowveld. It was since 2001 up to 2007 and again in 2014 and 2015 presented as a 25-kilometre race, thus avoiding running on the very busy and dangerous N4.
It starts at 06:00 at the Mara turn-off from the N4, approximately 20km from Mbombela en route to Komatipoort. It will be run on the Boulders road over the Crocodile Gorge Mountains through the Crocodile Gorge Nature Conservancy area, to finish at Kaapmuiden Primary School.
The entire route with the exception of the last 500 metres is run on a tarred road. This is a very beautiful and scenic route with a fair share of ups and downs along the way. The race starts with a steep 8km uphill, it then flattens on to a plateau for the downhill towards the Crocodile River. A last unexpected uphill prepares you for the final stretch to the Kaapmuiden school grounds where the finish line as well as the hospitality and refreshments of a local church group await.
10km race
It will start at 06:30 on September 24, but this time at the finish point at Kaapmuiden Primary. It leads back on the 25-kilometre route for five kilometres and returns to the primary school.
Buy a race T-shirt and support Bible distribution
Runners are urged to buy a race T-shirt for R30. Proceeds will be used for Bible distribution.
Bus transport
Bus transport will be available from the finish point at Kaapmuiden Primary School to the start at the Mara turn-off. Runners can therefore park their vehicles at the school and take the bus to the start. No buses will be available after the race.
It will depart strictly at 05:00 and the cost is R20.
