Two league fixtures provide a weekend of soccer action
The weekend was packed with football action as both the SAB and ABC Motsepe leagues had matches at the local stadium.
KAMHLUSHWA – On Saturday teams from all over the province competed in the ABC Motsepe League.
Tjakastad Junior Shepherds won 4-1 against Premier United FC, while Witbank City Lads FC beat Acornbush United FC with 3-0. Mlambo Royal Cubs FC won against Mhluzi Black Rangers FC with 2-1 and Barberton City Stars FC won against FC Zone Mavo with a score of 2-1.
Phiva Young Stars FC and Mphakathi Academy FC tied with one goal each and FC Benfica and Secunda Stars FC also tied with no goals.

Sunday’s matches in the SAB League were just as exciting.
KaMhlushwa City Stars were not shining as bright when they played against the Buffelspruit All Blacks. Both their ball possession and defence proved weak, giving All Blacks several chances to attack.
During the first half, All Blacks scored four goals: Lifa Sambo scored the first, Siboniso Sithole two others and Phiwokwakhe Shongwe the fourth. In the second half Given “Sparks” Lubisi scored the final goal for a 5-0 win.
KaMhlushwa City Stars coach, Sifiso Nkala, said the poor performance was caused by the absence of his experienced centre backline players.
Other results were Barcelona beating Liverpool 4-1, Shando Real Aces and Mdladla Black Movers with a one-goal tie and Dludluma United and Real Madrid, as well as Mhlambanyatsi Rovers and Junior Aces with a tie, with no goals scored. Jeppes Blessed Babylon won against Sambo Block B United with one goal to none and Blue Birds beat Managa with a score of 1-0.
