Barberton battling it out in the field with Malelane.

The Lowveld Jock 7s Tournament took place at Coronation Park on Saturday.

Teams from Barberton (3), White River (3), Mbombela (2), Lydenburg (2), Malalane (2) and Ohrigstad (1) attended this event. It was survival of the fittest and the teams gave their all. Mbombela 1 beat Lydenburg 1, 21-14 in the final.

The winners won an air con for their club.According to Barberton’s Jaice Terblanche, the prize was sponsored by LG Mpumalanga which is the main tournament sponsor.

Barberton 1 came fourth, Barberton 2 was 10th and Barberton 3 placed 11th.
