Kamffer tops the Sasa log

Local showjumper, Kraai Kamffer, riding Lezar Solero, has clinched the title in the coveted adult open working hunter over 1,63 metres category in the Horse of the Year show.

She has once again proved that she is the queen of SA showjumping; she is currently topping the South African Showing Association (Sasa) log.

The prestigious Horse of the Year show was held in February at Kyalami Park Club. It is the largest showing competition in the country, crossing various breed and showing classes.

The open classes are the official Sasa classes where riders have to qualify with points to compete.

Working hunter is a combination of jumping and showing classes. The horse is judged for style, manners, conformation and jumping ability. Working riding is a combination of obedience, style manners, conformation and a test of obstacles is ridden. Kamffer, also was the reserve open adult working hunter champion.

She is the defending SA warmblood working hunter, warmblood working riding horse and open SA riding horse reserve champion.

At the 2016 SA Derby show, she won the category working riding horse.
