Winning action is purely academic for Fire Birds
Teachers! Do you have what it takes?
A team comprising 13 Penryn College teachers want to challenge Lowveld schools to a game of action cricket.
The Fire Birds, sponsored by Penreach, is currently second on the men’s E-league log with 28 points. D&D tops the log with 33 points.
There are still 15 games remaining this season.
“We want to challenge all schools to get a school league going. It is a fun way to bond with your colleagues outside school,” said coach of the Fire Birds, Eric Grimaldi.
Last year Grimaldi travelled with the South African u/18 indoor cricket team that represented their country for Worlds in Australia.
