Golfers spend a good day on the course in aid of a worthy cause

Saturday's cool weather conditions proved perfect for a great day's golf during Riverview Preparatory School's Golf Day held at Malelane Golf Club.

Although some golfers got caught in the rain during Riverview Prep’s Gr 7 Golf Day on Saturday, it was very welcome due to the drought.

The two-ball scramble drive betterball format was won by Peter Wybrow and Ricki Coetsee.

Regard Scholtz and his partner Neville Wenhold won second prize, and third prize went to Henno Radley and Corné Janse van Rensburg.

Ivan Sutherland won the longest drive as well as closest to the pin.

Riverview would like to thank all the players who entered, as well as all the sponsors and families who contributed to the success of the day.

All the funds generated will be used for the grade sevens’ gift for the school.
