Michiel is the beste bowler at IPT

Lowveld Mambas' Michiel Eksteen was presented with the trophy for his bowling excellence at the recent Interprovincial Cricket Tournament at the Pietermaritzburg Action Sports Arena last week.

In the plate final, the u/14s narrowly lost with only one run to Central Gauteng.

The u/10 boys played with so much passion and learned a lot from the week’s games. Every match they played like pros and showed what they are worth. They had a lot of energy and just loved playing the game.

The u/12s placed sixth overall out of 13 teams. Penryn Prep’s Daniel Blom was selected for the World Cup squad to represent South Africa in Dubai in 2018.

Michiel was awarded the best bowler over the week in the u/14 age group.

“To sum it all up, the boys played with so much heart and worked so hard each and every day. We can truly be proud of a bunch of boys who represented the Lowveld Junior action team with so much sportsmanship,” said team manager, Rovanne de Lange.
