Tjia claims the gold medal in Wanderers Race

Mokaila Tjia of Modikwa Marathon Club made Tubatse proud as he clinched a gold medal in the Wanderers Aucor Property Road Race. The 21-kilometre event took place last Sunday in Johannesburg. Mokaila told Steelburger/Lydenburg News that it was well organised and he enjoyed taking part. “The race was well organised and very colourful. There was Discovery Vitality Hospitality in the race to offer massages for runners along the way. “Although it was a tough race, I managed to finish it. I was well prepared,” he added.Mokaila said he would up his training for future competitions. “Clinching the gold was an encouragement to me. I will train harder to improve my performance.”

Tjia ran the race in 1:38 minutes.
