Jardim boasts two South African titles
Nicole Jardim (19) won two South African titles at the recent Solo Dance Latina South African Championships, held in Polokwane.
Rhythm Image Dance Studio had 22 dancers that qualified for the championships, with over 160 entrants from all over the country in which they participated in 12 different styles of dance broken into three sections.
The studio was part of the Mpumalanga team in the provincial teams competition.
Jardim claimed the SA title in the youth championships classic and Latin.
“This achievement would have not been possible without the support of my coach Tanya (Edwards). I didn’t really expect to take home two titles, as I am in my matric year,” said Jardim.

Daniela Bezuidenhout (14) also returned with the SA title in the junior youth championships classic category while Thabo Khoza (22) won the SA title in the adult champions energy category.
Teammate, Kirsti Addison (21) placed second overall out of advanced dancers of the year.
“I am extremely proud of my students. They have put in a lot of hard work and dedication,” said Edwards.
To date the studio has produced 26 SA titles over the past 15 years.
Next up is the Mpumalanga Solo Dançe Latina Champs, on October 21 in Secunda.
