Primary takes pride in clubhouse as it nears completion

The construction of Nelspruit Primary's clubhouse is so to say complete, and the much-anticipated building is taking shape.

It is named after former headmaster, Wynand Viljoen. After 37 years in education, he retired at the end of last year.

“Wynand did not like the idea of naming the clubhouse after him as he is such a humble man. It is in memory of Wynand for his contribution to Primary since 1989,” said the school’s Albert van Putten.

He has envisioned the establishment since 2004 and it only became a reality in 2015.

Honour boards of well-known names who are a product of Primary such as Innocent Radebe (Cell C Sharks) and Idols winner, Karabo Mogane are inside the clubhouse.

Names of teachers who have performed on a provincial level after school are also mounted on the walls.
The public can hire the clubhouse for functions and birthday celebrations.

A scoreboard that will be visible from 300 metres is still in progress.
