Rugby players’ strength was tested on the field when Laerskool Laeveld hosted a friendly game against Laerskool Nelspruit last week.
These youngsters were playing to win even when the points were not being counted.

These games were the last friendlies before the league starts at the end of the month.
Johan Stander, from Laeveld, said the games also formed part of the players’ training as they prepare for the league.

Laeveld will host another game on their field in which the u/9, u/11 and first teams will play against Komatipoort on Wednesday.
Johan Orton of Laerskool Nelspruit said the school will play against White River on Thursday at the latter’s venue.
