Curro shines at SA Biathlon Champs

In excess of 800 athletes took to the field this year, of which 38 were from the Lowveld.

The 44th annual South African Biathlon Championship recently took place in Port Elizabeth, seeing an athlete from Curro, and the school itself, take podium spots.

In excess of 800 athletes took to the field this year, of which 38 were from the Lowveld. Mikaela Goelst ran her distance (1 000 m) in 03:30.31 and swam 100 m in 01:04.83, adding 2335.15 to her school’s total of 19 929,78. Curro took third place, just ahead of Oranje and Paarl Gimnasium.
