Mpumalanga Construction Golf Day exceed all expectations

Friendships were formed, deals were negotiated and fun was had during the Mpumalanga Construction Golf Day.

It was held on Friday at Mbombela Golf Club. This annual event exceeded all expectations.

The construction industry came out in full force and the event was well supported.

It was hosted by the Mpumalanga Chapter of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors and managed by TwoRedPens Marketing Agency.

Francina du Plessis from Creative Brains, the organiser said 128 players took part.

“Businesses that took part ranged from paving to furniture. They had the opportunity to network on an informal level with stakeholders they would otherwise not have had the opportunity to meet.”

Du Plessis said it was an 11:00 shotgun start and the betterball format was followed.

She said besides everyone enjoying the event, some serious golf was also played. These players displayed outstanding skills on the course.

Malcolm and Karen Dengler walked away with the first prize, followed by Michiel Griesel and Lourens Labuschagne in second and Victor Picoto and JP Bessenger in third.

The planning for the 2020 event has already started, so they can continue the tradition of introducing businesses in the industry to one another.
