Nelspruit Gymnastics Academy (NGA) was one of 16 clubs who recently participated in the Kempton Park Invitational Friendly Competition from July 12 to 13.
It served as good preparation, a chance for every gymnast to learn a lot. NGA brought back 34 medals. According to the club’s Maré Putter, this is a good motivation for the coming competition season.

Here are the results (level 4-7)
Level 4
• 9 years: Xi-ane Roets – third overall with first place on the floor (gold).
• 10 years: Marlia Spreeth – third overall with first place on the beam and third place on the floor.
• 11 years: Jasmin Muller – First overall with gold on vault, silver on bar and bronze on beam; Nina Prinsloo – second overall with silver on floor and bronze medal on vault.
Level 5
• 6-9 years: Amina Putter – second overall with first place on beam and second place on vault (silver).
• 10 years: Isabel Prinsloo first overall with second place on beam and second place on floor, third place on bar and third place on vault; Iane Swart first place on floor (seventh overall).
• 11 years: Chaney Prinsloo third place on bar – bronze medal and second place on floor (fifth overall).
• 12 years: Twane Steyn first overall with second place on bar, second place on floor and third on vault.
Level 6
• 12 years: Andeline Grobler: Third overall with first place on bar, second place on vault.
• 13-17 years: Mieke Louw: Third overall with first place on vault and third on bar.
Level 7
• Amore Gerber: Third place on bar.
