The Vodacom Blue Bulls were ready for the Phakisa Pumas’ attempted to smash them with high-tempo, high-risk running rugby this past weekend.

Halfway through the round-robin phase of the 2019 Currie Cup, the Phakisa Pumas are bottom of the log.

Their record is played three, lost three.

The Pumas face the Cell C Sharks (home on Saturday at 15:00), DHL Western Province (away) and the log-topping and Currie Cup title favourites, the Toyota Free State Cheetahs (home), in the last three matches.
