SAPS show their soft side with fundraiser

The informal atmosphere contributed to a relaxing day, enjoyed by 120 players who took part in the better ball Stableford format.

The annual SAPS Golf Day, held at Mbombela Golf Club last week, was once again a highlight on the course.
Golfers and sponsors enjoyed donating to the Widow and Orphan Fund.

Some hidden talents were showcased, rewarded by more than 40 prizes that were handed out. But in the end it was all about the new friendships that were formed.

Maj Gen Matilda Manamela emphasised the success of the golf day in her address at the prize-giving and the service of our men in blue was applauded.

Yvonne Phosa, fondly known as Pinky, was deeply touched by this worthy cause and pledged an amount of R20 000 towards the fund.
