RESULTS AND PHOTOS: Penryn College Interhouse

The four houses, Kestrel, Kite, Harrier and Goshawk, were energised and sang war cries non-stop, but in the end Kite soared to victory with a points total of 1102.

Penryn College recently had their interhouse athletics that proved to be an extremely fun event for all. The event started at 08:00, but due to the rain it was cut short at 14:00. The athletes, however, finished off the events on the following Monday.
The four houses, Kestrel, Kite, Harrier and Goshawk, were energised and sang war cries non-stop, but in the end Kite soared to victory with a points total of 1102. The sought-after spirit trophy went to Kestrel House.

Best individual performances for high jump:
• Junior girl: Simuthande Mdluli (Kestrel) 683 ABSA points
• Junior boy: Abande Ngomane (Kestrel) 708 ABSA points
• Senior girl: Jemma Smuts (Harrier) 742 ABSA points
• Senior boy: Ceasar Gama (Kite) 803 ABSA points.

• Junior victor 2020: Xihlovo Ngobeni (Harrier)
• Senior victrix 2020: Zanele Chavangwane (Kite)
• Senior victor 2020: Jason Mabuza (Kite).

• Boys u/17 high jump: Ceasar Gama (Kite) 1,8 metres, equaling the previous record
• Boys u/17 long jump: Bandile Mndawe (Kite) 6,23 metres (previous record 6,12 metres).
