RESULTS AND PHOTOS: Baberton Mopani XCM Mountain Bike Challenge

This year Nico Bell defend his 110-kilometre title for third consecutive year, but the top three positions belonged to the same cyclists as in 2019.

Alan Gordon (Insect Science) came in second and Timo Cooper (Dark Horse Wheels) in third.

In the women’s 110-kilometre division, Mariske McLean took the spoils while Kristen Louw was second. Natasja Kask was the third female to cross the finish line in this category.

Riders could cycle along brand new routes of 20-kilometre and 30-kilometre riders.

These two routes gave cyclists the opportunity to pedal through the exclusive Greenstone Wildlife Estate where they enjoyed incredible scenery and wildlife. Some riders spent more time in the saddle and dared to take on the longer distances such as the gruelling 110-kilometre ultramarathon, 77-kilometre marathon or the 50-kilometre marathon.
