IN PHOTOS: Hundreds attend 16th Van Wettens Nite Race at new venue

A total of 820 runners took to the scenic route at Kwanyoni Lodge.

A total of 820 runners took to the scenic route through the macadamia orchards, past beautiful dams and with views over the Alkmaar valley at Kwanyoni Lodge on Wednesday evening.

The organisers, Nedbank LVCC Running Club, said it was an incredible turnout at an amazing new venue.
It featured a 4,9-kilometre fun run and 10-kilometre race. The route was fast with moderate elevation.

Karlien Trumpelmann, Nedbank LVCC Running Club race coordinator, thanked the main sponsors, Van Wettens and 3%.Com, that had joined forces to sponsor this year’s race.
“Thank you for your sponsorship and for the continued support of road running and of this great event,” she said.

Here are some more photographs of the event. The full results will be available at www.raceresults.co.za
