Garage Bow Shop (GBS), based at Klipspringer Lodge just outside Mbombela, dominated the 2021 Garage Bow Shop 3D held at the club on Saturday.

The club scored podium finishes in all but one class. Tian de Wit of Wildcrete 3D won the Male Bowhunter Open class. His score of 195 and six bonus rings secured him the title.

Pierre van Wyk was second, 11 points behind, on 184 and seven bonus rings. Third place went to Wynand de Witt of Wildcrete with 174 points and five bonus rings.

Only seven points separated the top three in the the Open Aided. First place went to Jan Hoffmeyer of GBS with 183 points and four bonus rings.

Sean de Witt of Wildcrete was second with 179 points and two bonus rings, and Kalie Botes of GBS third with 176 points and six bonus rings. The Hunter class was won by Stephan Smit of GBS on 193 points and nine bonus rings. Second was GBS’ Marc Derfoly with 179 points and three bonus rings, and third was Rudolph Wessels of Lydenburg Archery Club with 151 points and four bonus rings.

GBS made a clean sweep in the top three of the the Female Hunter Aided. The winner was Celeste Pelser with 195 points and five bonus rings. Second was Sylvia Greeff on 161 points and one bonus ring, and third was Liezl Viljoen with 147 points and three bonus rings.
