White River and Nelspruit announce their teams for derby clash

No spectators will be allowed at White River Rugby Club

White River and Nelpruit rugby clubs will clash in a competitive match for the first time in two years on Saturday.

The Ehlanzeni Premier League match will be hosted by White River Rugby Club.

Spectators are not allowed to attend the match.

The last time the two teams played was on June 8, 2019, a home match which White River won 26-12.

After two wins in two games this season and playing at home, White River are favourites to win the bragging rights in the biggest rugby derby in the Lowveld.

White River beat Barberton 45-27 in their first match and thrashed the Pumbas 54-15 last Saturday.

Nelspruit won their opening match of the season 48-13 against the Pumbas. Last Saturday they lost 33-26 to Barberton.

The third, second and first team matches will be broadcast from 12:30 here.
