Late strike by Lekay earns The Rockets one point

TS Galaxy moved up one place to 13th on the DStv Premiership log table after a 2-2 draw against Cape Town City at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.

Wayde Lekay scored just before full-time to salvage the draw. The Rockets have nine points, but are certainly not out of the relegation danger zone. TCape Town City took the lead within a minute of kick-off when Mduduzi Mdantsane put his shot past Vasilije Kolak.

TS Galaxy hit back within two minutes when Sinethemba Mngomezulu made a perfectly timed pass to Mxolisi Macuphu who netted the goal. Mdantsane put the visitors ahead on 63 minutes and it seemed that Cape Town City were going to claim a valuable away victory.

The result of TS Galaxy’s match against Marumo Gallants played last night at Peter Mokaba Stadium was not known at the time of going to press.
