Rob Ferreira athletes broke numerous records

Hoërskool Rob Ferreira speedster Sinenhlanhal Dlamini broke the boys’ u/15 100m record at the LJ Attorneys Athletics Meeting on Friday.

He set at time of 11.41 seconds on his home track. Rob Ferreira, Bergvlam, Ligbron, Lydenburg, Barberton, Hoogenhout, Ermelo and Lowveld High took part.

In the boys’ u/14 200m race, Rob’s Lizwe Mkhumane set a record of 23.99. Hoërskool Lydenburg’s Sumari Lourens sprinted to a record time of 27.37 in the girls’ u/15 200m event.

Lizwe set a record time of 14 seconds in the boys’ u/14 100m hurdles. He also set a record of 41.2 in the 300m hurdles.

Rob continued with their record haul when Tumiso Letsoalo ran 14.04 in the boys’ u/15 100m hurdles. He also set a record of 41.05 in the 300m hurdles.

Lydenburg’s Ntiysio Nkanyani ran a record time of 55.53 in the boys’ u17 400m hurdles.

Rob’s Philisande Sibiya dominated the boys’ u/19 400m hurdles in a record time of 54.93, while teammate Katleho Mofokeng sprinted and leapt to a record of 1.67m in the boys’ u/14 high jump.

Caitlyn Dehrman of Rob Ferreira sailed over 1.55m to break the record in the girls’ u/17 high jump.

Lydenburg’s Thalepo Moloi was untouchable in the boys’ u/15 long jump with a record distance of 6.17m.

Rob’s Gene-Lee Coetzer was in a class of her own in the girls’ u/17 shot-put with a record distance of 12.5m.

Hammer throw was a new event at the annual meet, and therefore records were set in all boys’ and girls’ finals.
