Bergland relay their fighting spirit

3/100ths of a second gave Bergland victory.

The Laerskool Bergland u/13 4x80m relay team won the gold medal at the Goldwagen Interprimary at Hoërskool Rob Ferreira on Saturday.

The race was one of the closest and most exciting of the meeting.

Steyn Lamprecht, Juan Maritz, Rhandzu Mkhabela and Dylan Duvenhage set a time of 41.35s to beat the team from White River Primary School by 3/100ths of a second.

Steyn also took the gold medal in the 200m in a time of 26.24s.
