The u/13A Pumas team finished sixth at the 2022 u/13 Craven Week played at Hoërskool Monument in Krugersdorp last week.

In their opening match last Monday the Pumas had a hard-fought 23-19 win against Border.

Kgontse Masilela scored two tries for the Mpumalanga boys. Ulrich Dreyer and Divan Venter also went over for tries. Luan Burger kicked a penalty.

On Tuesday the Pumas beat Zimbabwe 43-5.

Divan and Caleb McKenzie each scored two tries for the Mpumalanga team.
The other try scorers were Freddie Welman, Rhandzu Mkhabela and Magopuretse Tladi.

Luan Burger kicked four conversions.

Caleb was Pumas’ player of the match.

The Pumas won their third match on Thursday, 33-0 against Griquas.

Divan again claimed two tries, and Rhandzu, Aobakwe Moeng and Caleb also scored a try each.
Luan succeeded with four shots at goal.

On the final day on Friday the Pumas faced the Blue Bulls. The Pretoria team were too strong for the Pumas and won 36-7.

Divan scored the Pumas only try and was the Pumas’ player of the match. Luan kicked the conversion.

The Pumas u/13B Craven week team had an extremely successful tournament and finished second on the log.

The Mpumalanga B team faced Western Province B in the main B teams’ match on the final day. The Western Cape lads won 14-8
