Mpumalanga squash team fares well at SA Country Districts

The five men who represented Mpumalanga at the 2024 Squash SA Country Districts and Festival Tournament (SACD) in early May, fared well by finishing fifth overall.

Mpumalanga was represented well by its team of five at the 2024 Squash SA Country Districts and Festival Tournament (SACD) held in Polokwane in early May.
The province was represented by Warren Bower (Nelson Mandela University), Jeffrey Bothma (Welkom Squash Club), Quintin Taljard (Mbombela Squash Club), Robert Silubonde (Mbombela Squash Club) and Johan van Wyk (Mbombela Squash Club).
A total of six teams participated in the SACD tournament, which was held at Polokwane Squash Club from May 1 to 4. These teams were Boland, North West A, Limpopo, Namibia, North West B and Mpumalanga.
The men from Mpumalanga played a total of five matches, winning three. They beat Boland 3-2, lost 5-0 against North West B, beat Limpopo 4-1, lost 3-2 against Namibia and finally they beat North West A 3-2.
This earned the province a fifth place at the SACD tournament.
