Warrior Race a true endurance challenge
The Nelspruit Eagles Club Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) in Mbombela excell at this enduro sport.
They took part in the Warrior 2.0 Race in Prime View, Johannesburg, on Saturday March 26.
The team consisted of Alicia Bullen (from Lydenburg) , Pieter Briel, Ashley Betteridge, Anthony Jenkinson, Braam Labuschagne, Reynard de Bruin, Andrew Martin, Stacey Gerber and Lize-Marie Dreyer. Most of the team are from Mbombela.
The warrior race combines speed, strength and technical ability.
Partcipants hustled to overcome obstacles during either the five-kilometre (rookie with 15 obstacles), 10-kilometre (commando with 22 obstacles) or 15-kilometre (black ops with 32 obstacles) categories.

Martin won the commando elite category and Bullen won overall first female in the rookie elite category. OCR Nelspruit Eagles are located at Eagles View on the Uitkyk Road in Mbombela.
