IN PHOTOS: Runners support a healthy lifestyle at 10km race

The fun run attracted many who might well tackle the 10km next year.

Nomvula Sithole of UniWisp raced to first place in the women’s category at the Supporting a Healthy Lifestyle 10km race on Saturday, October 11. She froze the stopwatch on 00:38:33.

The 10km race and fun run started and finished at the TUT Mbombela Campus.

Roseline Isaiah was second in 00:39:21. Rebecca Nakuwa of Nedbank was third overall and first in the 40+ category in 00:41:37.

The men’s winner was Tebogo Pulusa of Dwarsrivier in a time of 00:30:31.

Excell’s Siyabonga Ndlovu was second in 00:31:05, and Bellas’ Sibonginkosi Maseko clocked 00:31:13 to claim third place.

The fun run was enjoyed by runners and walkers of all ages.

• 60+ male: Johannes Nyalunga (Ngodwana) – 00:49:33
• 70+ male: Enos Ndimande (Nedbank) – 01:18:48.
