Nelspruit Archery Club excels at 3Di Nationals

The archers were right on target at nationals, securing multiple podiums and national team call-ups.

Four members of the Nelspruit Archery Club recently took part in the 3Di Nationals, at which they all finished inside the top 10, with two of them earning national colours.

The 3Di Nationals were held at Gabbata Lodge in Pretoria on November 22 and 23, and the four Nelspruit archers took part and competed with distinction. Firstly, Hennie van Heerden finished sixth in the SMCA category, while Hannie van Heerden finished third in FMCA.

Competing in the MCA category, Colin Tapson earned himself a bronze medal. Rounding out Nelspruit’s top results, Nadine Tapson shot an exceptional score of 207 on day two to finish third in FHCA. The top three archers in this class all ended the weekend with the same score of 404.

Further adding to the success they enjoyed on the weekend, Colin and Nadine received their national colours.

“What a successful weekend with lots of laughs and happiness. Thank you to each and everyone of you who supported, encouraged and gave us helpful advice. We could not have done it without all of you,” Colin said.
