Machinery displays and competitive play highlight a day dedicated to thanking local farmers and clients.

The Afgri Retail Nelspruit Golf Day at the Mbombela Golf Club on September 3 was a massive success. The company, its clients and friends enjoyed the occasion, cementing their already strong relationships.

A full field of 124 players took to the course, most of them involved in Afgri Retail, Afgri Mechanisation (John Deere), Afgri Financial Solutions and Afgri Insurance Brokers.

Annual event builds strong ties

“We host this golf day annually to show our gratitude to the farmers and clients and network with them,” said Charles Gates, manager of Afgri Retail Nelspruit.

Gates added, “It was a competitive and fun day, but more importantly it built and strengthened relationships with customers and suppliers.”

Equipment on display across course

Agricultural equipment was on display outside the clubhouse and at the various tee boxes.

Great gees electrified the clubhouse and course during the day.

There was much laughter and banter among those present as they shared their passion for agriculture.
