Loeries tops at Hazyview Primary interhouse

Athletes of Hazyview Primary flexed their muscles at the school’s interhouse athletics meeting on January 22. Learners were divided into four houses to compete: the Kingfishers, Loeries, Sunbirds and Swallows.

All the classes participated in events such as shotput, high jump, long jump and track and the top athletes were rewarded at the end of the meeting.

Bontle Fakude was the junior Victrix Ludorum and Hopwell Mhlanga the junior Victor Ludorum.

The senior Victor Ludorum was Junior Mokoena, with Bontle Mapanga and Mfundu Shabangu sharing the award for the senior Victrix Ludorum.

Die overall winners of the day were the Loeries, with Kingfishers walking away with the singing trophy.
