Thotha ladies team puts Tubatse on the map
They led the log by a massive 49 points after being unbeaten for the rest of the season
MOTLOLO – Local girl’s soccer team Thotha FC will be a force to be reckoned with as they had taken Tubatse by storm by convincingly qualifying for the Sasol league by finishing in the top ten.
They led their domestic log (Safa regional league) by a massive 49 points after being unbeaten for the whole season. Their only downfall was managing a draw against their nemesis, Motsenkgogole, of Thokwane.
Club manager Leonard Mafolo believes the team will represent Tubatse well in the league.
“I believe in the girls, they proved that soccer is not only a men’s game. They practise very hard and are disciplined, unlike the boys.
Mafolo urged locals to support the team “We are struggling with soccer boots, kits, and balls. We rely on a borrowed soccer kits from the local men’s teams, whenever they play we are forced to play without soccer jerseys.”
