Needy get brand new wheelchairs

A total of 35 wheelchairs were handed over to needy people at a function at Numbi Hotel on Monday, January 13. This gesture by Rotary Club Nelspruit forms part of a larger project of distribution 110 wheelchairs to disabled persons in and around Mbombela.
The funding for the project has come from concerned local businesses and individuals. Some of the funding was also collected at the May Meander which was held at the Botanical gardens last year.
Apart from the beneficiaries, representatives from the Health department, Rotary Club Nelspruit,
the UK Wheelchair Foundation and the Canadian Foundation attended the event.
