TRAC in top gear for action
It is all systems go for the 2014 TRAC N4 Cycle Tour, which takes place from March 27 to 30 in and around Nelspruit.

This is the fourth year that the company sponsors this prestigious four-day event in which some of the country’s top ambitious cyclists compete. “We believe that our involvement not only helps
promote the sport in the region, but it also boosts tourism and socio-economic development opportunities,” said the communications officer, Solange Soares-Nicholson.
The tour is traditionally open to /16 boys and girls, junior men and women and m/23, however, the phenomenal growth has resulted in it also being opened to elite women this year. This will help Cycling SA heed the call to have more competitive races for this category.
As with the first TRAC N4 Cycle Tour in 2011, this year’s five-stage route was carefully chosen to showcase the Lowveld’s iconic landmarks, sites and towns such as Sabie, Schoemanskloof and Kaapsehoop. Given the region’s reputable terrain and
unforgiving heat, it is undoubtedly going to be one of the most challenging routes yet, thus guaranteeing an action-packed and nail-biting event.
TRAC’s top priority is to keep everyone safe on the road and for this reason road closures have been scheduled for the duration of the competition. These will be operational for as briefly as possible and in such a manner as to cause the least disruption to motorists. A detailed list will be made public.
With the final preparations underway, TRAC is determined to make this tour one to remember.
